“There is one masterpiece, the hexagonal cell, that touches perfection.

No living creature, not even human, has achieved, in the centre of one's sphere, what the bee has achieved on her own: and if intelligence from another world were to descend and ask of the earth the most perfect creation, I would offer the humble comb of honey.”

~ Maurice Maeterlinck, The Life Of The Bee, 1924

Accustomed Thinking.

We are accustomed to thinking of human consciousness as originating from the brain, even though science doesn’t know where exactly it arises, or why. What if instead of creating consciousness, our brains are rather like television sets; receptors of a frequency, a living energy that enters us and fills us with awareness?

And if this were the case, how would we return to where the frequency originates?

Short Sad Memory Flash

A specific memory instantly flashes its triggered by a photo, a slip of private paper, song, or just a familiar smell that passes through the moment stunned. The memory is long passed, out of sight and mind where it is stored is unclear? It shot up fast, and fresh like it just happened a snap of a finger ago energy charging. Coming alive once more, reliving each pixel, closed captioned of course. So that the sacred words I instantly see turned them straight into the distinctive voices. Those who were there naturally creating this whole long string of time segment each one spelling out imminent death comes as it is timed to. All are gone now crossed to the other side. I am the only one who still holds space in this dimension. Not alone or lonely simply a time jump out of sync with the force of a black hole slow motion til the end. There are naturally some days when I fervently wish a memory would be made gently letting me be the one who leaves to the other side. Letting it be someone else's memory that flashes triggered by a photo, a slip of papersong, a smell that passes through their moment.
